99th Annual Prince George Exhibition
Once again we will back for FIVE great days of entertainment, rides, food, agricultural information and so much more...
Please check back soon for updated information for the 99th PG-X returning in 2011
Since 1912 the PGX has been bringing our community together!
Stroll through the barns and marvel at the work of the 4-H youth and learn about the animals; visit the petting farm and agriculture alley and watch one of the many livestock competitions: draft horse pulls and skilled events, light horse show, bull riding, team penning, top dog agility show, stock dog trials and more; visit the indoor and outdoor trade shows and shop for items not found in any store; enjoy Heritage Lane, a life sized exhibit that pays tribute to the growth of our community, highlights the people and events that have shaped our province and our agricultural roots, all topped off by local and strolling entertainers, pie and ice cream at the Huble General Store and the Railway & Forestry Museum's operating mini rail; check out the blue ribbons on the Home Arts & Horticulture entries and admire the handi-work of neighbours in the giant Quilt Fair, maybe take in a demonstration or workshop before stopping in at the Tea Garden for healthy refreshments; enjoy the outdoor community stage highlighting our cultural diversity and showcasing local talent while enjoying some traditional food fare in the food court…perogies, coney fries, mini donuts and candy floss (Hey, it is a community party that only comes once a year!) as well as delicious ethnic food.
Take in the free Vegas-quality shows on the full production stage indoors in Kin I; watch the Fire Fighters Challenge….and so much more….and the top price for admission is the cost of a movie ticket!
Check out some of the other exciting events and highlights (most are included with admission, some are ticketed).
Better yet, for just a few cents more than a cup of coffee, senior citizens can attend for a Toonie admission ticket all day on Senior's Day; Kids 4-12 years can attend for just a Toonie admission ticket each on Kid's Day; little cowboys and cowgirls aged three and under are always free.
We welcome fairgoers via Senior's Bus Tours, where the admission and parking is FREE for our guests from seniors' homes and activity centres.
Join the fun on opening day by wearing your cowboy hat and receive $2.00 off regular posted admission (now we are down to just $8 bucks for the top price!).
All admission ticket fees include taxes! Families can pack in their own lunch and picnic, amidst the sights, sounds and smells of the whirlwind of activity around them, in any one of the seating areas on grounds.
Everyone is welcome and no one does affordable family fun like the PGX!
We are thrilled to welcome back West Coast Amusements midway, the largest and longest running midway in Western Canada – for the thrills, shrills and chills that will have fairgoers coming back a second or third day.
Purchase your Advance Armband Ticket, between July 2 and August 8, at any Mr. G location and save $6.00.
The fun begins again, for the 98th time, when the gates open at 10am on Wednesday August 11, 2010.
The PGX: So much to see and do, right here in your own back yard… see you at the Fair!
